Parent Involvement
Parent involvement at Kramer Elementary is a vital part of our school community and student success. When parents are engaged in their child’s education—whether by attending events, volunteering, or supporting learning at home—it creates a stronger connection between school and family. This partnership not only helps students feel supported and motivated, but it also fosters better communication, higher academic achievement, and a positive school culture. At Kramer, we believe that families are our most valuable partners, and when we work together, we create the best environment for our children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Parents who wish to volunteer must sign up through VOLY, the district’s volunteer management system. Opportunities for involvement include helping with Brighter Bites produce distributions, assisting with Colt folders, and supporting campus events. For more information or to get involved, families can contact Francis Robles, Parent Support Specialist at fguerecarobles@dallasisd.org.
Another way you can be involved is by joining our active PTA. The Kramer PTA supports Kramer faculty and students in many ways:
- Fall Carnival , Boys' Night Event, Girls' Night Event, Teacher Breakfasts and lunches.
- Donating school uniforms to students!
- Our Dad's Club supports with school improvement efforts.
- Our spring events such as the Northaven Home Tour support technology efforts!
- Site-Based Decision Making (SBDM) provides guidance regarding day-to-day operations as well as long term education goals at Kramer!
