General Information
Kramer is proud to be an authorized IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) as part of the Hillcrest IB Continuum. Every child that is enrolled here is an IB student from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

The PYP is a framework of researched based, best educational practices for the elementary aged child. The goal for Kramer students is to learn and grow through a global mindset and a desire to participate in the world around them. This occurs through the development of the IB Learner Profile. This profile produces a compassionate learner who is well informed, prepared to think critically, and problem solve in any given situation.

Kramer teachers implement the IB programme through inquiry and play based learning, making connections to concepts in all subject areas. All students at Kramer take a second language either through the dual language program or as a specials class for the general population students.
Students are encouraged to have agency over their learning with voice, choice, and ownership in the classroom. Together, all of these IB PYP elements empower our Kramer students to take action in order to make the world a better place!
